Or, I wish it was!! I tried again to cook meatballs today, and as usual, it just turned into ground beef mush. I don't understand how to make them keep their shape! Is there some trick to it because I can only make it work with the pre-cooked frozen meatballs you buy in a bag. Any ideas??
I have a really good meatball recipe...they never fall apart. I will have to look for it. I know an egg will help them stay together, but this recipe doesn't have any eggs I don't think. Sometimes I put brown rice in them, that helps, and sometimes I use breadcrumbs that helps too. when I find the recipe i will send it your way, but maybe you can try those other tricks too!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're blogging again! She's right, you need to add an egg, kind of like you're making a meatloaf recipe, and then when you saute them, be really gentle. I just know that everything you cook is soooooo good!
ReplyDeletei have a recipe for meatballs.. ive made them before, awhile ago.. dont remember if they were amazingly good or not..but it calls for a beaten egg which im pretty sure would keep it together. good luck
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and i bake mine so maybe that will help. I am not handling them trying to fry them up in a pan, i just put them on a cookie sheet and bake them for like 10 min.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the good ideas!! Please send your recipes!!
