At about 3am, after 30 hours of labor and 7 long hours of pushing, we went to the hospital where Alyssa could get an epidural. She was finally able to rest for a couple hours before the final few hours of pushing.
Can I just say how amazingly supportive Kyle was through this whole ordeal? He didn't get any rest either, but he was right there by Alyssa's side the whole time rubbing her back, holding her hand, stroking her hair, and whispering encouragement in her ears.
He finally arrived! His poor head was all coney and swollen, but what can you expect after such a traumatic labor!
Being held for the first time by his proud dad.
(I know this shot is blurry, but I feel like that captures the true feeling of that moment)
This picture makes me cry every time. If any picture was ever worth a thousand words, this is it.
Sweet little Henry and his hero of a mother!
Henry, meet your Grandma...
Finally, it's our turn to meet our favorite new nephew. We love him so much!!
Aww how precious! Tell Alyssa and Kyle congrats from us! Alyssa is a trooper for making it through such a long labor! Good job Alyssa! You all look so good! I hope things are all going well with you guys!
